A Taste of "Byron Latin Fiesta"

A Taste of Byron Carnival is very lucky to be hosting an Exhibiton Spectacular, giving a taste of the Byron Latin Fiesta coming up in November. A number of Latin Dance Schools from the area have joined forces to create this visually exciting event.

2^nd – 4th November 2007, Byron Bay

  Byron Latin Fiesta and Byron Bay

 The 2^nd annual Byron Latin Fiesta will be a weekend feast of Latin music and dance! It will include 3 nights and 2 days of Latin Dance Workshops and Parties featuring street dances and music from countries throughout South America . 

We aim to attract people from all over the region to enjoy the unique attributes of Byron Bay with a generous serve of spicy latin flavour!!!

  In history, music and dancing have been an important part of bonding within communities. In South America life is expressed though music and dance. Experiences of joy, sorrow, success, failure, love and loss are predominant themes. The richness of a culture is rarely described in dollar values but instead is described in the abundance of music and dances that celebrate life within the community.

 The Byron Latin Fiesta will focus as much as possible on the essence of Latin music and dance and therefore aims to take a rather grass roots approach to what it will offer. Byron Bay has a long history of a grass roots approach. This helps to retain a connection to the pulse that inspires all things new. It is one of the main reasons that we feel that Byron Bay is the perfect place for a Latin Fiesta. That and the fact that Byron Bay is as close to Latin America (geographically speaking) as you can get in !

 Friday Night 2^nd November: Welcome Party:

 Venue: Byron Bay Beach Resort

 Beginners Salsa Class, Shows by local Latin talent, Interstate Latin DJ

 Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th November: Latin Dance Workshops

 Venue: Buddha Bar Studio & VIP Room.

 10 Latin Dance Workshops each day. Beginners to Advanced dancers will get to taste different Latin styles with experienced interstate teachers. Styles on offer will include: Salsa, Rumba, Bachata, Reggaeton, Zouk Lambada, Samba and more

 Saturday Night 3rd November: Main Event:

 Venue: The Backroom, Great Northern Hotel

 Beginners Latin Dance Class, Live interstate 10 piece Latin Band.

 Interstate professional performances, Interstate Latin DJ

Sunday Night 4^th November:  Closing Party:
